I know MANY people who have wireless working with Ubuntu. There are a lot of factors involved, such as card type and driver availability. The general procedure is to get a program called NdisWrapper, which will "wrap" a windows driver and make it work in Linux. However, there are increasingly more wireless drivers written for Linux. I was just making sure that you knew that trying how to's on installing wireless in Ubuntu can be dangerous. Do a LOT of research, because once you start changing settings as root, the situation can get worse and worse... until like me, you have a wonderful working copy of Ubuntu, and never use it because you can't function without wireless connectivity (TG I set mine up as a dual boot!).

We have done lots of set theory, some logic, graph theory, induction, boolean algebra, blah, blah, blah. We spend most of our time dissecting sorting algorithms (my prof's pet project). Most everything that we cover is taught in some other class, be it Digital Logic, Foundations of Mathematics, Logic, etc... I think that they should separate this class out for CIS degrees, and let the CS majors skip it, since we have to cover all this stuff in other classes anyways.
